Genuine Seekers and Enjoyers of Christ, J.U.

I grew up in Colorado in a Christian home. I have two wonderful parents that raised me in an environment of love, warmth and genuineness. From a young age we read the Bible together, prayed before meals and had special family times. I went to children's meeting every Sunday and learned about God from the Bible. I remember many times playing with other kids of every color, nationality and background. We would sing together, memorize Bible verses, play games and eat yummy snacks. Ever since I can remember, I felt like I was at home and that all the brothers and sisters were my family.

On the weeknights, my parents used to preach the gospel and invite their new acquaintances to our house for dinner. I remember so vividly those times around the table; every face was shining with a big smile. The Bibles were open, the guitars were at hand and the highlighters and pens were out. I remember that each time of fellowship resulted in pure satisfaction. The hunger that had compelled them to our house had been filled with Christ Himself.

The ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee has one main objective: to minister Christ as life to hungry believers. Those who genuinely seek Christ will find Him (Matthew 7:8). This ministry is a tool to open the riches of Christ to those seekers for their experience and enjoyment.

As I got older, my appreciation for this ministry grew. I realized that all those sweet and memorable times as a child were a result of Christ being lived out of people in a normal, daily way. Now, every time I read a book from the ministry or hear Witness Lee speak, I am always touched inside to love the Lord and to seek Him earnestly. Not only does the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee help me to know God in a subjective way, but it also explains and expounds the truth in the Bible to a depth that would've otherwise been impossible to reach on my own. As a result, God's eternal purpose and heart's desire were revealed to me at a young age. I am truly grateful to these brothers who were faithful to the heavenly vision (Acts 26:19) and faithful to cut straight the Word of the truth (2 Timothy 2:15) for the sake of all of God's children. I have received the life of God and have been brought on to experience God's full salvation (Romans 5:10) through this ministry. I personally owe many wonderful and real experiences of the Lord to the ministry of brothers Nee and Lee.

Today I am learning more every day how to enjoy Christ and gain Him for the church His Body (Ephesians 1:22-23). The Christian life is not an individual one, but a corporate one. Day by day I find that in my pursuit of the Lord, I cannot make it alone. This is why I need the brothers and sisters. Together, we are drawn to pursue the Lord (Song of Songs 1:4). As I fellowship with the other brothers and sisters, we are encouraged “...having so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us...to run with endurance the race which is set before us” (Hebrews 12:1). I am thankful to be in such a place where there are so many genuine seekers and enjoyers of Christ. This is truly my family.
